Alright, after four weeks in a row of this you can already catch on that I have a thing for beats with a club vibe. If you don't like it then sue me (but actually please don't because you guys know I be livin' on a teacher's income so~~). But fo real, you can't be mad, though, because this song is also lit (and if you are mad I'll be makin up for it later so bear with me and give this song a chance).
We can't really be surprised that the track is fire, though. I mean, there's both Gray and Jay Park featuring (which I will go ahead and apologize in advance if I subconsciously have a lot VOW involving Jay Park in the future--I mean it's Jay Park. Even if he isn't your favorite artist you gotta admit he's good at makin songs you can't help but dance to).
Y'all know goodness well you don't want us callin y'all...
In fact, their being in the song may have actually been what made the song memorable, actually.
Again, don't get me wrong. Dayday was gettin it in this song and I was movin' whenever his parts came on; but I have listened to this song three times in a row while writing this and the only parts that really stick with me afterwards are Gray and Jay Park's parts.
What can I say? I can't help that's how it is.
This is nothing I begrudge him for--Gray and Jay Park are among the top in the K-hip-hop industry so of course they are going to stand out. Besides, he's come a long way since his DMTN days and when I forced myself to fully focus on his rap it was respectable (you know, to the ears of someone who only understands maybe 5% of what he's saying).
Point is, he's someone that keeps growing which makes him someone to keep an eye on.
Now that my two-cents have been put out there, let's play a game: how many faces to you recognize from this week's VOW?
나를 불러 (Call Me) by Dayday (데이데이) ft. Gray and Jay Park (박재범)
